Our Clinic is open with no restrictions, in line with Victorian government guidelines you will be required to wear a mask when attending your appointment, unless you have a medical exemption.

Please check in at the reception counter using the QR code provided. If you are unable to check in please inform a staff member and they will assist you.

In line with the current restrictions of lockdown 6.0, We are open for URGENT care only.

For example, urgent clinical care:
-that avoids a potential hospital admission or emergency department presentation.
-that avoids serious acute consequences or acute deterioration.
-that presents/delays the need for further specialist medical or surgical intervention.
-that prevents an increase in care needs that would necessitate additional carer supports or change in accommodation needs
-that limits secondary complications post-surgery
-where deferral would lead to long-term adverse consequences (i.e. delays to child development).

Previous Updates-27th May 2021

The DHHS and Osteopathy Australia have confirmed we can remain open for essential care.

Patients have been restricted to those who are likely to experience a significant change or deterioration in symptoms without treatment.

If you have an exisiting booking with us you will be contacted over the next few days to confirm if you fit the criteria for treatment during this lockdown period in Melbourne. 

You may make future appointments on our online booking system from Saturday, 5th of June, If further changes occur within this time we will contact you to discuss treatment options.

18th of February 2021

We will be returning to the clinic Thursday 18th of February 2021, with Face to Face appointments.

We will be continuing to follow our protocols to provide a COVIDsafe workplace which include:
-Patients and practioners wearing masks
-Patients to santise or wash their hands upon arrival
-Temperature checks and pre appointment screening questions
-Change of linen for each patient

Previous Update– Wednesday 17th of February 2021,

⚠️Due to recent DHHS Guidelines changing OsteoWest will be closed from Saturday 13th February to Wednesday 17th February 2021. ⚠️

OsteoWest Health and Sports Clinic will be temporarily closed due to the Victorian Stage 4 Circuit Breaker Lockdown.

We are available for Telehealth consults if you are in pain and need advice and management strategies.

If you have an exisiting booking with us you will be contacted over the next few days to reschedule for another time, we apologise for any inconvenience.

You may make future appointments on our online booking system from Thursday, 18th of February. If further changes occur within this time we will contact you to discuss treatment options.

Previous Update– From Monday 19th of October 2020,

OsteoWest is OPEN.

We are able to see patients for routine appointments with no restrictions in place. This means if you need Osteopathy treatment for whatever complaints you have, you can now book in to see us in person.

Feel free to contact us for any aches and niggles you have and we look forward to seeing you soon! We will continue with our COVID safe hygiene standards.

Previous Update-From Monday 28th of September 2020

We are able to return to the non-urgent face-to-face treatment of patients if:

🔷 You are in pain

🔷 Your condition will deteriorate without treatment

🔷 If you delayed getting treatment during Stage 4

Routine care appointments should still be delayed at this stage. We encourage any patient who is unsure if they fit the criteria, to give the clinic a call for clarification.

At OsteoWest we are continuing our strict cleaning protocols and ensuring patient safety is the number one propriety.
 
The safety measures we have implemented includes:

  • multiple hand sanitising stations
  • temperature checks
  • isopropyl alcohol sanitised surfaces
  • mandatory masks and face shields.
  • linens are sanitised and washed in high temperature. (BYO towels are welcomed)
